The super-narrow lightweight 11-speed Shimano Dura-Ace XTR HG-901 chain has been designed for smooth shifts, and maximum durability. Whilst the Hollow Pin design reduces weight. The inner plate has been machined for better contact with gears providing smoother shifting under high load, giving efficient pedalling, increased rigidity and near silent running.
We take our waxed chains through a precise multi-stage process. For the Dura-Ace XTR HG-901 we first meticulously remove all the factory grease- every last bit. We then air dry the XTR HG-901 in a low humidity environment for 24 hours. Finally, we submerge the chain in our superslick wax formula for a good 30 minutes before leaving it cool and dry allowing the wax to fully adhere.
