Our spirit

Founded by two brothers, Laurence a thought leader in strategic design and systems and Lukas a scientist and engineer, Litebike was born out of an ambition to help cyclists unlock their potential. We believe that we can all achieve much more than we think possible.

Our story goes back to building bikes in our garage in Tysoe, Warwickshire, for commuting, touring and racing. Living on Cycling Route 48 we got out most weekends to climb in the Cotswolds and have toured across the United Kingdom, in Africa and most of Europe.

As we got more experienced with bike building, we found a cycling industry starved of innovative, durable and sustainable solutions. The industry has remained virtually unchanged for decades, with the same incumbents selling parts with worse and worse quality, disguising valuable information behind marketing gimmicks. We knew we could do better by the cycling community.

Our project with Litebike is to push the boundaries of cycling technology. Our debut products have been built using our unique X Weave method for layering carbon fibre which makes them both exceptionally lightweight yet extremely durable. Each of our parts has gone through a meticulous design, engineering and manufacturing process and has been tried and tested over thousands of miles by our growing team of cyclists.

We believe real-world testing is where it counts. We listen, and continually iterate and optimise for functionality and on-road usability. As we go further, we will continually invest in research and development. Not expensive marketing or packaging; we believe that ultimately great products will do our marketing for us.
